Many people dread doing research and clearing the rights to footage, photos, and music for their projects. However, it’s one of my favorite parts of any project I’m working on. Like a pirate after treasure, I leave no stone unturned, ferreting out hard to find information and images, and negotiating the licensing and costs that will allows for the most rights for the least amount of money.
If you have a project that needs research or clearance, I’m here to help. I’ve found footage and photos for Hollywood feature films such as “Milk,” award-winning documentaries like “We Were Here,” and “The American Experience,” and historical exhibits such as the Fillmore Streetscape Project and the 1300 Fillmore Restaurant historical wall. I’ve also cleared music for many public television and documentary film projects such as “Neighborhoods: The Hidden Cities of San Francisco” and PBS Hawaii’s “Na Mele” music specials.
I’m also happy to help with location scouting throughout California and Hawaii, as well as connecting you to potential interview subjects and experts in their fields. I’ve been helping filmmakers since 1997. No project is too big or small — so give me a call!
